SUBBzero is part of the Swing Unlimited Big Band Group (SUBB Group).

The original Swing Unlimited Big Band had its first meeting in October 2001. For a number of reasons, Big Bands did nto often perform locally. Those present at the meeting were there with one thing in mind - to bring Classic to contemporary jazz arrangements, many with the influence of the Caribbeanback Big Band music to the community.

With so much talent within the SUBB Group, SUBBzero was formed to allow the younger members to take the responsibility and gain the experience of their own band. The band has up to nine members including a full rhythm section, sazes, flute, trumpet/flugelhorn and trombone plus an additional two vocalists.

Given the opportunity and backing of the SUBB Group, SUBBzero was formed in October 2007. With all their enthusiasm and energy, they are now able to express their own brand of jazz. With so much talent within the SUBB Group...This means appealing to any audience, young and mature. The style of music includes classic to contemporary jazz arrangements, many with the influence of the Caribbean.

SUBBzero performs regularly at local venues, private functions and charitable events.
